Please join us as we welcome these four outstanding alumni to the LaSalle-Regis-Xavier Alumni Hall of Fame! Induction ceremony will take place at halftime of the varsity boys basketball game on Friday, January 31st. This is a varsity girl-boy doubleheader vs. Linn-Mar. Girls game will tip off at 6 p.m., boys will tip off at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The LaSalle-Regis-Xavier Alumni Association will host a reception in the LMC for guests prior to induction that evening.
Our 2020 Hall of Fame Inductees:
Joe Bedard (X07) - Athlete
MVC all-conference status in three sports during his high school career; First-team All-State honors as a linebacker and Elite All-State punter
Catcher on the 2006 state championship baseball team and was the starting linebacker, fullback, punter and kicker on the undefeated 2006 Class 4A state championship football team
Played football at Northwest Missouri State where he was a member of the 2009 Division II national championship team
As a coach, he helped lead Fort Osage (Independence, MO) to win the 2015 Class 5A state football title
Corey Starry (L93) - Athlete
1993 Wrestling State Champion (140 lbs.)
Served as union electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for past 23 years
General foreman for Paulson Electric working at Mercy Hospital
Coaching wrestling remains one of his passions
Hannah Stolba (X00) - Athlete
Holds more than 10 of the Xavier girls’ basketball records including: Most Points in a Season (444); Most Points in a Game (30); Most Rebounds in a Season (206); Most Double-Doubles in a Season (9); and highest cumulative performance rating in a season (399)
Earned First-team All-State honors in girls basketball
Named to the 2010 and 2014 USA World Cup rugby teams in England and France respectively
Earned an MA in Sports Coaching from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014 and has coached at Stanford and University of Colorado, Boulder
Jim Victor (R64) - Outstanding Supporter
(1946-2018) *Inducted posthumously
Growing up, he was an avid reader, desktop architect, model car maker, paperboy, hot rod enthusiast, music buff, shiny new clothes guy, high school student council president, college fraternity brother at Iowa State University
Joined the financial markets as a professional broker, adviser, and a voracious researcher
Served on countless boards for a variety of institutions throughout the Quad Cities
Victor family recently established Jim Victor Memorial Scholarship at Xavier for qualifying prospective families/students
