Meet our 2021 Inductees...
Our inductees may need no introduction...our three newest members include: Tom Keating, Steve Larson, and Megan (Showalter) Redlinger. Their Induction into our Hall of Fame will take place during Forever Saints Day on January 28. Tune in to watch the ceremonies during the 4 p.m. hour on the 28th.
TOM KEATINGTom Keating was Principal of Xavier High School from 2004-2018 and named the first President of Xavier High School in 2018. During his time at Xavier, Keating was instrumental in the development of many faith, academic, and program initiatives; many that remain in place today.

- A native of Philadelphia, Tom earned his B.A. in psychology at Simpson College and holds a Master’s in Education Administration from Loras College.
- Tom was Principal of Xavier High School from 2004-2018, and served as the first President of Xavier High School from 2018-2019.
- In 2010, Tom was named the National Catholic Education Association’s “National Educator of the Year.
- Prior to his work at Xavier, he taught, coached and served as activities director at Wahlert Catholic High School in Dubuque.
- Tom has written four graduate courses for Drake University on goal-setting, team-building, parent-coach relationships and coaching for success. He has taught graduate courses on teaching and coaching.
- Tom’s volleyball teams at Wahlert Catholic High School won 11 state championships.
- He was named National Volleyball Coach of the Year twice – in 2004 and 2005.
- Tom was inducted into the Iowa Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame and the National Association of Athletic Coaches Hall of Fame.
- Tom currently serves as the Executive Director of IHSAA.
- He serves on the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s Board of Control.
- Tom and his wife, Jodi, have three adult sons that all graduated from Xavier.
STEVE LARSON (x99)
Steve Larson (X99) graduated with the inaugural class of Xavier High School in 1999. During his time at Xavier, Steve was a track standout.
XAVIER TRACK ACCOMPLISHMENTS:- While competing for Xavier, and the combined Regis-Lasalle team prior, Steve was a four-time winner at the Class 3A track and field state championships.
- Steve was State Champion in the 3200m in 1998 and 1999, and 1600m distance in 1999.
- Steve was also a member of a State Championship winning 4x800m relay team in 1998.
- At the Drake Relays in 1999, Steve was the champion in the 3200m run.
- Steve attended college at Hillsdale College (MI) where he ran cross country and track in NCAA Division II.
- While at Hillsdale, he was awarded First Team All-Conference honors ten times and named the Conference’s Co-Athlete of the Year in outdoor track and field.
- Steve was a multiple time Nationals qualifier.
- He was also selected as an NCAA Division II Coach’s All-American at Cross-Country Nationals.
- Steve earned his BA in Philosophy and Religion and History from Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, MI, and an MA in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO.
- Steve spent eight years abroad teaching English at a South Korean university before earning his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
- Steve is an attorney and lives with his wife and two children in Marion.
MORGAN (SHOWALTER) REDLINGER (X08)
Morgan (Showalter) Redlinger (X08) was a basketball, track, and soccer standout during her time at Xavier; earning five letters in soccer, two letters in basketball, and one in track.
XAVIER SOCCER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:- Morgan led Xavier to four Class 1A soccer state titles being named Co-Conference Player of the Year and Class 1A Player of the Year in soccer her senior year.
- She was named a five-time Class 1A all-Tournament Team selection, including Team Captain as a sophomore.
- As a sophomore, Morgan was named the Iowa Co-Player of the Year.
- She was the first Freshman in state history to be named to Elite All-State Team in soccer.
- Morgan holds Xavier records for most assists in a season (25), assists in a career (84) and points in a season (91).
- Morgan helped lead Xavier to 3A State Championship as a junior for basketball and third-place finish as a sophomore.
- Morgan was a track state qualifier in the 100-meter dash, 4×100 meter relay and sprint medley.
- Morgan was named to the Xavier Honor Roll her junior year.
- Ranked as one of the Top 200 college recruits for the 2008 season by SoccerBuzz Magazine, Morgan went on to play soccer at the University of Iowa where she was Iowa’s all-time leader for most assists in a single match (3) and Iowa’s all-time leader for most assists in a single-season (9).
- She started every game from a freshman through her senior season.
- For her soccer accomplishments, Morgan was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman team; Second Team All-Big Ten, Academic All-Big Ten, and Iowa Offensive Player of the Year.
- Morgan currently resides in Washington, Iowa, along with her husband, Cody.
- Morgan works as a Dealer Marketing Coordinator at Bazooka Farmstar.
