Dear Xavier Catholic School families, Xavier Catholic Schools, in coordination with the Archdiocese of Dubuque, will close school operations for the next four weeks starting today, March 16, 2020, through April 10, 2020. All school activities have been suspended during this time. Also, during this time, all school facilities (indoor and outdoor) will be closed with the exception of early childhood programs. Early childhood programs and childcare provided at our school locations will continue to operate for the time being. Regarding missed instruction time and whether or not that time needs to be made up, we are expecting to receive additional guidance from the state and Archdiocese. That information will be shared with families once we receive it. We understand that these are very unprecedented and uncertain times. Our Xavier Catholic School community is strong because of our connection to one another … it is a great source of comfort and strength. We want you to know that we are here for our families during this time. Our Xavier Catholic School administrators will have daily online meetings at 1 p.m. with the Archdiocese of Dubuque Office of Catholic Schools. Again, it is our plan to communicate information from these meetings with you on a frequent basis as this situation continues to evolve. We ask for God's continued blessing on your family and our school community. Sincerely, Brian O'Donnell, Principal, St. Pius X Megan Boomgarden, Principal, All Saints Amy Conlon, Principal, St. Matthew Casey Kettmann, Principal, St. Joseph Heather Williams, Principal, St. Jude Zach Zeckser, Chief Administrator, Holy Family Josh Gredys, Principal, Regis Angela Olson, Principal, Xavier Chris McCarville, President, Xavier Cathy Walz, Associate Director of Catholic Schools Kim Hermsen, Superintendent, Archdiocese of Dubuque |
