Band

Congratulations to the Jazz Band One on their FIRST PLACE finish at the TALLCORN JAZZ Festival today.   A special shout out to the outstanding soloists, Ava Melchior and Avery Arens.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Xavier High School Jazz Band One on a second place finish at the Liberty Jazz Festival!

BOYS BASKETBALL

Congrats to Coach Freeman and the Xavier Saints Boys Basketball Team on their Substate 1st Round win over Benton Community Monday night.

• The boys finished their season at Central DeWitt earlier tonight.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Congrats to Coach Lilly and the Xavier Saints Girls Basketball Team on their dominant win over Decorah in the 4A Regional semi-final.  They defeated the Vikings 62-18.  

• The Girls finished their season on Tuesday at Waverly Shell-Rock.  

• The Saints ended the season with a 15-8 record.  

• All-Division, All-Metro, and other honors will be released in the next update.

BOYS & GIRLS BOWLING

Congrats to Coach Camacho and our Xavier Saints Boys & Girls Bowling Teams as both teams competed at the State Tournament! The State Bowling Tournament that was held this past Tuesday at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo!!!

• STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS:

  • Dale Weaver is the 2A 2019 Individual State Bowling Runner-Up! Dale had a 545 two-game series including a 289 first game. Congrats Dale!!!

  • Both teams finished in the top 8 overall in class 2A.  

  • All-Division, All-Metro, and other honors will be released in the next update. 

Show Choir

Good luck to Mr. Walker and Xavier’s Xhilaration & Xuberance Show Choirs as they compete in the Marion Show Choir competition this Saturday.

Robotics

Good luck to our Robotics team as they compete in the State Championship tomorrow! 

WRESTLING

Congrats to Christian Stanek @ 138 who finished in 6th place at the IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament this past weekend, earning a spot on the podium during the awards ceremony. He is now a two time place winner at the state meet.

DANCE TEAM

Congratulations to our Saints Dance team for making the finals in their POM and Hip Hop routine.  The team finished the highest ever in Xavier history.
