Band
The All-State Music Festival District Auditions were held on Saturday, October
26th. Congratulations to the following Saints:- Katie Allard, freshman clarinet, was recalled and earned 3rd Clarinet spot inthe All-State Band.
- Sarah Garbe, junior euphonium, earned a spot in the All-State Band for the second consecutive year.
- Benjamin Allard, junior trombone, got recalled and earned a 1st Trombone spot in the All-State Band for the second consecutive year.
- Lauren Saito, senior oboe, was recalled and earned a 1st Alternate spot in the All-State Band.
- Mia Deegan, junior trumpet, was recalled and earned a 2nd Alternate spot in the All-State Band.
- Congratulations to Daniel Cawley, senior clarinet, who was recalled.
- Congratulations to Kjirsten Jorgenson, senior choir, who was recalled.
The MVC Girls Swim Meet was held on Saturday, October 26th. Congratulations
to the following Saints:- Lilly Anctil, Lucy Nunez & Sarah Foerster placed 5th in the 200 Medley Relay
- Lilly Anctil placed 4th in the 50 Free
- Lilly Anctil placed 4th in the 200 Free Relay
- Sarah Foerster placed 6th in the 400 Free Relay

The Volleyball team beat Wavery-Shell Rock on Thursday, October 24th in a 4A
Regional Semifinal match by a score of 3 to 1. The Saints beat Charles City on
Tuesday, October 29th in a Regional Final match by a score of 3 to 0.
Congratulation to Coach Weiland and all members of the team on qualifying for
the 4A State Volleyball Tournament! The Saints are seeded #1 (28-4) and play #8
seed Sergeant Bluff-Luton (21-13) on Monday, November 4th. Match time is 4:00
p.m. on Court #1 at the Xtream Arena in Coralville. Good luck to Coach Weiland
and all members of the Volleyball team at State!
The MVC 2024 Volleyball All-Division Selections have been released.

The Football team beat Burlington on Friday, October 25th by a score of 49 to 6.
Congratulations to Coach Schulte and the team on qualifying for the State
Playoffs. The Saints (6-3) play at Norwalk (6-3) on Friday, November 1st. Game
time is 7:00 p.m. Good luck to Coach Schulte and all members of the football
team as the “road to the dome” begins!
Cross Country
The State Cross Country Meet is scheduled for Friday, November 1st at the
Lakeside G.C. in Fort Dodge. The 3A Girl’s race begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by
the 3A Boy’s race set for 11:15 a.m. Good luck Mia Deegan, Andrew Allen and
Kaleb Wilgenbusch at state!
Xavier Dance Team
The XDT State Solo Qualifier was held on Thursday, October 24th.
Congratulations to the following Dance team members who qualified for State:- Saylor Eggleston
- Olivia Neal
- Marley Beenken
Moines. Good luck to Saylor, Olivia, and Marley at State! The Dance team will
also perform in both the Pom and Hip-Hop divisions. Good luck to Coach Novotny
and all members of the Dance team at State!
Fall Musical
The Fall Musical, State Fair, will be held in the Regis-LaSalle Theatre on the
following dates:- Friday, November 15th at 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 and 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday, November 17th at 2:00 p.m.
