Boys Basketball:
The boys defeated Jefferson on Friday 85-74. They currently sit at 10-10 on the year and finish the regular season tonight, at home, against Dubuque Wahlert. It is also senior night. Seniors will be announced between games, prior to the varsity warm up. Varsity tip is set for 7:30pm
The boys will host Benton Community on Monday the 21st at 7:00pm for the first round of postseason play.
Bowling:

Tuesday, Xavier hosted the Class 2A Co-Ed Bowling State Qualifier. Jacob Sires finished 5th overall and qualified for the individual state tournament next week. Bowling will be on Wednesday the 23rd at Maple Lanes in Waterloo.
The Boys team finished 4th overall, and the girls put their best season performance together to finish 5th overall.
Girls Basketball:
The Girls basketball team defeated Jefferson 61-51 on Friday last week. They finish the regular season at 15-6.
The ladies received a first round bye on Wednesday the 16th. Xavier will host Marion on Saturday the 19th at 5:00pm here at Xavier. The regional final is set for Tuesday the 22nd.
Band:
Good luck to our Jazz Bands who perform at the Tallcorn Jazz Festival at UNI today and the Liberty Jazz Festival on Friday.
Dance:
The team headed down to Nationals in Orlando, Florida. They will compete in their two routines this weekend. Finals for both Hip Hop and Poms are scheduled for Sunday.
Robotics:
The Robotics team finished as the 5th ranked team in the Eastern Superqualifier Championship for the State of Iowa. The team also won 3rd place in the Control Award for having excellent Computer Programming, and is advancing to the State Championship on February 19th. Good luck to all members and congratulations on a job well done thus far!
Show Choir:
A big congratulations to both Xhil and Xub. They each finished 2nd place overall at the Benton “Touch of Class” competition on Saturday. Xhil also won the award for4A Best Combo, Most Creative use of band, Best Costumes, and Jacob Sires won 4A Best Male Soloist, Tim Lesnik star performance for Xhil, and Gracie Hines Star Performer for Xub
Xavier’s Xtravaganza is scheduled for Saturday March 5th.
Swimming and Diving
Four Saints, Spencer Kramer, Brian Foerester, Seth Williams, and Jack Dake qualified and participated in the state championship this past Friday and Saturday.
