Boys Basketball

The Saints sit at 5-6 (4-4 MVC) on the year.  On Saturday, the Saints defeated Prairie at the buzzer 50-48!   

Tomorrow, the boys will host Waterloo East here at Xavier.  Varsity tip is scheduled for 7:30pm.  On Saturday, they will travel to Iowa City Liberty for their make-up MVC matchup with the Lightning.  Game time is set for 5:30pm. 

Next week, the Saints  will take on Iowa City West on Friday.

Girls Basketball

The Saints Girls basketball team moved to 6-5 (5-4 MVC) overall after a tough week of MVC basketball.

Tomorrow night the Saints will travel to Waterloo East for their MVC basketball game.  Saturday, they will host Prairie in their make-up game from December.  This will be a single varsity game at 4:00pm here at Xavier. 

Next week, the Saints will take on Waterloo West on Tuesday and Iowa City West on Friday.  

Bowling

Our Saints bowlers will take on Dubuque Senior tomorrow afternoon at May City.  

Next week, Xavier hosts the Valley Divisional tournament on Tuesday.  Bowling will start at 1:00pm with both teams competing for their divisional title.  

Wrestling

The Varsity wrestling team finished 4th at Marion’s Loyd Shaffer Invitational on Saturday.  They had three individual champions in Ivan Thomas, Caelen Shannon, and Christan Stanek, and Ryan Volk finished 3rd overall. Caelen Shannon is 25-0, Ivan Thomas is 22-0, and Christian Stanek is 24-0 on the season so far! 

Our wrestling team will continue their strong season as they head to the Bean City Duals at Iowa City High on Saturday.  Next week Thursday, the Saints will travel to Waterloo East for their final regular season dual.

Saturday the 23rd is the MVC Supermeet.  This year it has been broken down into triangulars.  Kennedy will travel to Iowa City to compete with West and City High at Mercer Aquatic Center.  Jefferson and Washington will be at Washington.
