Boys Basketball:
Congratulations to our MVC All-Division selections
1st Team: Aidan Yamilkoski
2nd Team: Joe Bean
Honorable Mention: Josef Lemker and Trysten Vasquez
Girls Basketball:
The Girls basketball team earned a hard fought victory in the Quarterfinal round over Central DeWitt 62-55. They now take on Dallas Center-Grimes in the class 4A Semi-Finals at 5:00pm tonight.
Band:
Congratulations to both Jazz Band 1 and Jazz Band 2 on their 1st place finishes at Coe Jazz Summit last Friday. Randall Kinner received Honorable Mention for Outstanding Musician in 3A
Show Choir:
Congratulations to our show choirs for a strong finish to their competitive season. At Marion this weekend, Xuberance placed 2nd in the prep division and Xhilaration qualified for finals and placed 5th overall. They will perform again this weekend at our middle school competition Xtravaganza and for their final show on Thursday, March 10.
Xavier’s Xtravaganza is scheduled for Saturday March 5th (this Saturday).
Speech:
The following students received a Division 1 rating and will compete again at the IE State Contest in Grinnell on Saturday, March 12.
