Trap Shooting
This weekend we had some great success for our trap team. Ty Lampe won with a high score of 96 out of 100. The Xavier blue squad which consists of:
Sam Wessels, Ben Pieper, Rory Schroud, Ty Lampe, Vanya Fomin
Won second place out of 19 squads.
Academic All-State
Congratulations to Ivan Thomas on being named 2nd Team Academic All-State for Wrestling.
Instrumental Music
Congratulations to the Xavier Concert Band on their Division I Rating at the State Large Group Festival.
Vocal Music
Congratulations to Xavier Chorale and the Women’s Chorale on their Division 1 Rating at the State Large Group Festival.
Boys Tennis
Currently, the Saints are ranked #1 in class 1A and are 12-1 on the year.
The Boys also defeated ICH 9-0 on Thursday and picked up wins from Horstmann, Schmitt, Coe, Courter, Link, and Shimak in singles. Horstmann/Schmit, Coe/Courter, and Link/Schmit all won in doubles as well.
Yesterday, the boys traveled to Fairfield for District Tennis. Congratulations to Boys Tennis on winning their District Tennis meet. Trenton Link finished runner-up in individuals and qualified for state. The doubles team of Brady Horstman and Matthew Schmit were Champions and the team of Hugh Courter and Declan Coe finished as Runner-ups and both teams qualified for state. The team qualified for substate tennis on May 22nd.
Boys Track
This past Thursday, the girls competed in their Valley Divisional track meet held at Dubuque Sr.. Congratulations to our top 3 finishers.

Girls Track
This past Thursday, the girls competed in their Valley Divisional track meet held at Kingston. Congratulations to our top 3 finishers.

400m Hurdles - Emma Arnold 2nd (!NEW SCHOOL RECORD!)

Boys Soccer
The Saints currently sit at 9-4 on the year.
Last Friday they defeated Waterloo West 1-0 and on Tuesday they defeated Dubuque Sr. 4-0.
Tomorrow, the boys are on the road to take on Kennedy with the game held at Coe College - Clark Field.
Girls Soccer
The Saints moved to 9-3 on the season.
On Tuesday, the Saints defeated Dubuque Sr. 5-1. Wednesday they defeated Iowa City High 4-1.
Tomorrow, the girls host Kennedy with the varsity match starting at 7:15pm.
Girls Tennis
Currently, the Saints are ranked #1 in 1A and are 12-2 on the year.
Last Thursday, the Girls tennis team defeated ICH 9-0. They picked up wins in singles from Coffey, Carstensen, Burger, Flynn, Tallett, and Link. And Doubles wins from Carstensen/Burger, Link/Tallett, and Braksiek/Zittergruen.
Saturday, Xavier will host Regional Team tennis starting at 9:00am.
In the postseason, Xavier will host the singles and doubles tournament on Wednesday the 19th with play starting at 9:00am.
Girls Golf
Thursday last week, Xavier hosted Western Dubuque, Waterloo East, and Iowa City High at St. Andrews. Kaitlin Hotchkiss was the medalist with a low score of 42.
Today, the girls travel to Airport National for the Prairie Invitational.
