Cross Country
Your Saints Girls and Boys cross country teams competed in the MVC Supermeet held by Iowa City Liberty on Thursday last week. The top finisher for the Boys was Jack Renning 32nd overall, and top finisher for the Girls was Hannah Denman 47th overall. Congratulations to everyone that competed.
Both teams will run Today in the Mississippi Divisional today hosted by Iowa City High. They compete at the University of Iowa Ashton CC Course starting at 4:00pm.
FOOTBALL
The third-ranked 3A Xavier Saints Football team is home again tomorrow against Center Point-Urbana. Overall, the Saints hold a 6-1 record moving into the final two weeks of the regular season. The Sophomores will play at 5:00 and the Varsity game is set to kickoff at 7:15. Tomorrow is also “Future Saints Night”. The teams will be introduced during the warmup of the varsity game.
Next week, the Saints finish the regular season at home against Marion.
Girls Swimming
Xavier Swimmers at CR Kennedy & CR Washington are set for action on Saturday in the MVC Championships held at Linn-Mar. Swimming is scheduled to start at 12:00pm. Good luck to our ladies who swim for both of these schools!
Boys Golf

The boys finished 10th place overall after a solid round on day 2. Congratulations to all the players and coaches on a great season!
Volleyball
The Xavier Saints Volleyball team finished regular season play on Tuesday with a 3-0 sweep of Cedar Rapids Washington. The Saints are currently ranked #2 in class 4A behind Sergeant Bluff-Lufton. Overall, the Saints sit at 20-5 heading into the conference tournament.
The MVC tournament will be played Saturday at Prairie High School. The tournament starts at 9:00am, but the Saints will play their first game at 10:00 against CRJ. Good luck to the ladies as we move to postseason play.
Marching Band
Congratulations to all of our Marching Saints on their Division 1 rating at the State Marching Band competition this past Saturday. The Marching Saints received their highest-ever score of 83.5 and a 7th consecutive Division I rating at the State Marching Band Festival. Congratulations to everyone involved!
