GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Weekly Highlights: September 22, 2022

Boys & Girls Cross Country: 

The Xavier Cross Country teams competed at the Solon Cross Country Meet. They were led by Emma Arnold’s 6th-place finish. 

Boys Golf: 

Congratulations to Coach O’Brien and the golf team on taking 1st place at the quadrangular on Tuesday shooting a team score of 135. Ryan Schmit was the meet medalist shooting 6 under par with a 29 and setting a Xavier nine-hole school record. Charlie Allen was runner-up with a 32.

Swimming:

Congratulations to the following swimmers who placed first in their events on Saturday.

Casey Gannon placed 1st in the 500 Yard Freestyle and the 200 Yard Free relay. Lilly Anctil placed 1st in the 50 Yd Freestyle, the 200 Yd Free Relay, and the 400 Yd Free Relay.

Maria Trotta placed 1st in the 200 Yd Free Relay and the 40/ Yd Free Relay.

Volleyball

Congratulations to Coach Filer and the volleyball team on taking down 2 of the top 5 teams and placing 1st in the Benton Tournament last Saturday. Congratulations to Austin Filer, and his staff on notching milestone victory No. 200!

Football:

Congratulations to Coach Schulte and the football team on their 17-0 win over previously #3 North Scott on Friday. The team is now #2 in the state, is 4-0, and will begin district play on Friday against CR Washington.

Marching Band

The Xavier Marching Band’s first competition is at the Linn-Mar Marching Invite this Saturday!
