We have a number of activities planned to make this year’s Homecoming celebration a fun and safe experience for our students.
Pep Rally/Coronation - The Pep Rally and Coronation will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10. No general admission will be available this year. If the event is outside, we will have three seats available for family members of a student on the Homecoming Court or in a fall activity (band, cheerleading, cross country, football, boy's golf, girl's swimming, and volleyball). If the event is moved to the gym due to weather, seating will be limited to two tickets per student on the Homecoming Court or in a fall activity. Tomorrow an email will be sent to parents with students in these activities on how to signup for your spot. Students will be receiving an email with details on student section seating tomorrow. The event will also be available on livestream.
Food Drive - This year for the Homecoming week service project, students have elected to host a food drive with all donations to be given to Metro Catholic Outreach. A friendly competition has been established between our Communities to collect the most food. Items needed are broken down by our Communities below:
St. John Paul II: Canned meat and peanut butter
St. Teresa of Calcutta: Canned soup and canned fruit
St. Juan Diego: Cereal and oatmeal
St. Catherine of Siena: Pasta and sauce
St. Pío of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio): Crackers and granola bars
Dress Days - Get in the Homecoming spirit by participating in the following dress days:
Tuesday, September 8: Sports Team/Jersey day
Wednesday, September 9: Tie Dye day
Thursday, September 10: Disney+ day
Friday, September 11: Spirit day
A few reminders about dress for Homecoming week...Jeans or sweats, shorts for guys and capris for girls are OK for all Homecoming week days! Face masks may have prints or logos, but must be in good taste. Neck gaiters, bandanas and costume masks are not permitted. Further dress details are available
