The Xavier Foundation is strategically updating its annual appeals in 2020-2021 to fall under one larger, branded name: Xavier Impact Fund. The Xavier Impact Fund campaign will reach out to distinct audiences of parishioners (formerly known as the Parish Appeal), businesses (formerly known as the Business Appeal), and alumni (Forever Saints Day), in different phases to raise funds to support Xavier families and teachers. This fund will be used to specifically address needs at Xavier High School in the following areas:
Family Financial Assistance: Xavier's goal is to keep Catholic education as an affordable and viable option for all families, regardless of their economic situation. This goal is made attainable through Xavier Impact Fund's bolstering of Xavier's existing local family assistance program.
New Teacher Endowment: Xavier teachers earn, on average, substantially less than their public school counterparts. This newly-established endowment, supported by Xavier Impact Fund, will help to close that gap.
Faith and Academics: Xavier continues to flourish in its ability to help students deepen their faith and prepare them for success in and all endeavors they wish to pursue beyond high school. Xavier Impact Fund will help Xavier continue to grow existing opportunities and launch new initiatives to help students in their faith and academic pursuits.
"We are very excited to be re-energizing our annual fundraising efforts through the Xavier Foundation," says Chris McCarville, Xavier High School president. "We've identified these three causes as the areas that not only make the biggest impact on Xavier now and for future generations, but it is a way we, as a family of faith -- current, future and past Xavier families; parishioners; alumni; and partnering businesses -- can come together to truly make a difference in the lives of many through Catholic education."
