Our hearts are broken for our city and surrounding community. No one was untouched by this disaster in the area. We ask for everyone to keep our community in your prayers as we pick up the pieces and put everything back together. We’ve been through hard times before, and just like in those times we will pull through as a family of faith.
Our baseball/softball complex (and many trees) sustained the brunt of the damage here at Xavier with some minor damage throughout the campus. Thankfully there were no injuries here on campus. Also, hats off to our maintenance staff as they have been working to clean up what they can over the past few days at school even as their own homes require attention.
Current XHS Families: Communication and connectivity remains intermittent at best. We will continue to update as we are able to/as necessary via social media and our alert system. The XHS campus remains closed as we are without power. We are told we will likely remain without power until Sunday.
Saints: If you are able to help in the community, we are asking you to contact XHS counselor, Ms. Donner at [email protected]. Remember, serving others is one of our core values at Xavier — as we are all called to be Christ for one another.
Alumni/Supporters: Again, we are asking for your continued prayers for our Xavier Catholic Schools, our partner parishes, our families who suffered damage, and our entire community as we take these initial steps to getting back on track ... and rest assured, we WILL get back on track.
