Xavier Joins Other Catholic Schools in Favor of IHSAA Proposal

Fair socio-economic opportunity should extend to all student educational needs.

Xavier High School joined many other Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Dubuque, voting in favor of the Iowa High School Athletic Association's proposal to allow a socio-economic adjustment to each school’s BEDS enrollment for classification purposes.

We believe strongly in providing fair, socio-economic opportunities for students and families. We believe fair, socio-economic opportunities for all is at the heart of this proposal from the IHSAA. This movement must be extended beyond high school football and to something much more important; families having the ability to choose the school opportunity that best serves their child’s unique needs.
