Any member of the Xavier community is welcome to attend Board of Education (Board) meetings. Should a member of the Xavier community choose to attend a Board meeting as a guest, they will first be welcomed by the Board Chair and then also be asked to give an introduction of themselves to the Board.
The Board recognizes that situations or issues may arise in the operation of Xavier High School that are of concern to students, parents and parishioners. In most cases, issues are best resolved by working and communicating openly with those directly involved. The goal of this procedure is to resolve, at the lowest level possible, issues regarding Xavier High School.
If there is a federal law, state law, or Archdiocesan policy that mandates a specific procedure to be followed, that procedure supersedes this policy. Examples include but are not limited to: special education, discrimination, harassment, bullying, contracts, or equal opportunity. Under no circumstances are comments regarding a specific Xavier employee (faculty member, staff, coach, moderator, etc) allowed by a guest to the Board.
