Eastertide is a period of 50 days lasting from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday. Each Sunday of the season is treated as a Sunday of Easter.
Holy week comes to completion with the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday. As Xavier is closed for the Triduum to celebrate and rejoice in the Risen Lord, one will see Xavier students and staff rejoicing at their local parishes or maybe even in their front yards! Many staff members have “He is Risen, Alleluia” crosses in their yards around the metro area, as a way to help spread Easter joy.
