Campers will work with Xavier High School vocal music staff and members of Xavier's two show choirs, Xhilaration and Xubrance on skills such as vocal production, dance, performance and team building. In addition to the daily classes and performances by XHS students, the campers will prepare a show for friends and family on Friday, June 18.
Each camper will be given an opportunity to develop skills in sprinting, longer distance running, starts, relay hand offs, hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put, and discus. The campers will also learn a warm up routine and learn why warming up and cooling down are so important for track & field. Station teaching, drills, games, and relays will be used. On Friday the campers will compete in a mini track meet. Parents are welcome to come and watch. The camp will be run by the Xavier boys track coaches with the help of past and present Xavier track athletes.
