Scot and his wife Marcia have lived in Cedar Rapids for 32 years. He’s Dad to Katharine (X08) and Spencer (X10), and “Pops” to adorable grands Eleanor and Benjamin. Scot shared his time as a volunteer at St. Jude, Regis, and Xavier while his kids were in school and he is proud to continue supporting the Xavier school system through DWTS. Scot was heard as the Voice of Xavier Saints football on KMRY radio for a dozen years, and continues to call play-by-play football, baseball, and softball for Xavier and other metro schools on KMRY. You may also have enjoyed seeing Scot on stage in one of his many theatre performances, including as Daddy Warbucks in Annie; Colonel Jessup in A Few Good Men, George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life, and Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird. He retired as an air traffic controller at The Eastern Iowa Airport in 2018 after 28 years. His inspiration (and courage) for this DWTSX performance comes from his celebrated viral father/daughter wedding dance with Katie and his recall of his children’s Xhilaration choreography. (Can he make a costume change?)
