Our experience at Xavier has had a tremendous impact on our family. From participating in athletics and the arts, to numerous religious retreats, we have reaped the benefits of a Catholic education for our family. For David and I, it was important for us to be able to instill Catholic values in our children. We felt that by being able to drop our kids off in the morning and have them surrounded with other kids whose parents had the same set of values, all while learning more about their faith was priceless. Praying before classes and activities was also important to us. Xavier does a wonderful job of promoting service to the community and its organizations, which is an important aspect of being Catholic. Our children have developed friendships and created memories that will last a lifetime.
We recommend Xavier High School to anyone who wants the best for their child. I love that they do not have open campus, wear uniforms, and have educators that hold students accountable and to high standards. Xavier provides the best education in the area. Walk the halls any day of the week, stop in the office, or attend a mass during school and I guarantee you that you will feel immediately at home. Your child will be in such a warm, safe, and faith filled environment. There are so many things that we, as parents, are not able to control in our children's lives, but make this choice. Choose the best for them by choosing Xavier.
When selecting an education for our children there are a variety of factors we consider, but the two most important to us as parents is that they are able to continue to grow in their faith, as well as practice it on a daily basis. In addition, the standards and test scores that Xavier students produce are the best. Take a look at the number of students involved in extracurricular activities, the ACT, or Iowa Basic Skill scores. What the students and staff at Xavier are doing is simply incredible. For they really are helping create the leaders of tomorrow. The classes and curriculum the students take as regular classes are often what other schools consider advanced courses. Having educators and coaches that are working with our students to not only create students and athletes, but great human beings who are fully capable and encouraged to lead a Catholic life is something we will forever be thankful for.
I would LOVE to talk with anyone who has questions or would like to further discuss Xavier or the Holy Family Schools further. Sending our kids through the Xavier Catholic Schools System has been one of the best decisions we have ever made.
