Girls Soccer
The Girls Soccer team (1-0) is ranked 3rd in this week’s IGHSAU 2A Poll. The Saints play 2A #1 ranked Waverly-Shell Rock (1-0) on Thursday, April 10th at Saints Field. Match time is 6:45 p.m.Boys Soccer
The Boys Soccer team beat CR Kennedy on April 8th by a score of 6 to 1. The Saints have a current record of 3-0. The team plays CR Jefferson on Tuesday, April 15th at Saints Field. Match time is 6:45 p.m.Girls Track
The Girls Track team competed on April 8th in the South Tama Invitational. Congratulations to the following Saints:
Sofia Musick placed 2nd in the Long Jump.
The 4x100 Relay placed 2nd with Lucy Oehler, Musick, Alyse McDermott, and Olivia Neal.
Hannah Pfab placed 3rd in the 3000 Meter Run.
The 4x200 Relay placed 3rd with Kennedy Geilenfeld, Oehler, Lindzey Jeffrey, and Adeline Robson.Boys Track
The Boys Track team competes in the Clear Creek-Amana Invitational on Thursday, April 10th. Meet time is 4:30 p.m. The Girls and Boys Track teams compete on Saturday, April 12th in the Earlybird Invitational at Marion High School. Meet time is 10:30 a.m.Girls Tennis
The Girls Tennis team (1-0) beat Cedar Falls on April 8th by a score of 9-0. The Saints play CR Washington on Thursday, April 10th at Xavier. Match time is 4:00 p.m. The Girls Tennis team is hosting two MVC matches on Saturday, April 12th. The Saints play IC West at 9:00 a.m. followed by a match with IC Liberty at 1:00 p.m.Boys Tennis
The Boys Tennis team (1-0) beat Cedar Falls on April 8th by a score of 9-0. The Saints play at CR Washington on Thursday, April 10th. Match time is 4:00 p.m. The Boys Tennis team plays two MVC matches on Saturday, April 12th. The Saints play at IC West beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by a match at IC Liberty scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.Girls Golf
The Girls Golf team placed 2nd in the Dubuque Wahlert Quad played on April 8th at the Meadows G.C. Mehar Julka led the Saints with a score of 39. The team competes in an MVC Quad on Thursday, April 10th at Twin Pines G.C. Meet time is 3:15 p.m.Spring Play
The Spring Play, Murder on the Orient Express, will be held in the Regis-LaSalle Theatre on Thursday, April 10th, Friday, April 11th, and Saturday, April 12th. All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the Xavier homepage under Tickets or on the link below. Congratulations to Jazz Band One who placed 5th out of 15 Class 3A Bands at the Iowa Jazz Championships. Mia Deegan (flugelhorn), Cate Brown (bass), and Caleb Hilario (drums) received solo awards for their performance. Caleb Hilario also received 1 of 4 solo awards that were given out for Class 3A Bands.Jazz Band Festival
The Xavier Catholic Schools Jazz Band Festival is scheduled for Monday, April 14th. The concert will be held in the Ron Thillen Gymnasium beginning at 7:00 p.m. Good luck to Band Director Chad Allard and all students who are performing!
