GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Week-in-Review: April 25, 2024

Track & Field:
Girls Track: 
Congratulations to the following girls who placed in the top 3 in their events on Tuesday at the Xavier invite: Ava VanBerkum placed 3rd in the High Jump, The 800M Shuttle Hurdle relay placed 1st with Erica Marek, Makenna Huntington, Elena Schmit and Caylin Miller, The 4x800m Relay placed 3rd with Annabelle Neal, Mia Deegan, Annabell Deegan and Keira Richmond, The 400 m Shuttle Hurdle Relay team placed 1st with Ava VanBerkum, Olivia Neal, Sofia Musick and Makenne Huntington, Jasmine Riggle placed 3rd in the 400M run and the 4 x 100 m Relay placed 3rd with Annabell Neal, Sofia Musick, Erica Marek and Olivia Neal.

Boys Track:
Congratulations to the following boys who placed in the top 3 in their events on Tuesday at the Xavier invite: Jack Stevenson placed 1st in the Shot Put, Cody Mason placed 3rd in the 400M run, the 4 x 200 m relay placed 2nd with the team of Cash Parks, Will Russell, Joseph Casey and Kaleb Wilgenbusch, Coleton Beasler-Weber placed 3rd in the 110 Hurdles, Kaleb Wilgenbusch and Marcus Camacho placed 2nd and 3rd respectfully in the 800M run , the 4x100m relay placed 2nd with Joseph Casey, Carter Hoffmann, Will Russell and Coleton Beasler-Weber and the 4 x400 m relay placed 3rd with the team of Kaleb Wilgenbusch, Mason Meyer, Cody Mason and Marcus Camacho.

Boys Soccer: 
Congratulations to  Coach Takaoka and the boys soccer team on their win over CR Jefferson on Tuesday by a score of 3-0.   The Saints host Dbq. Senior this evening at Saints Field

Girls Soccer:
Congratulations to Coach Johnson and the girls soccer team on their 9-0 win over CR Jefferson on Tuesday! The Saints travel to Dbq. Senior tonight.

Boys Tennis:
Congratulations to Coach Potts and the boys tennis team on their two wins this week. On Tuesday they defeated CR Jefferson by a score of 9-0 and on Wednesday in a make up match against CR Washington by a score of  6-3. The Saints travel to Dbq. Senior today.

Girls Tennis:
Xavier Girls Tennis picked up a 7-2 win over CR Wash on Saturday. Singles wins by Link, Smith, Cobb, Younadam, and Rozeboom. Doubles wins by Fleming/Link and Younadam/Rozeboom. In the afternoon the girls pick up a 7-2 win against Linn Mar.  Singles wins by Fleming, Smith, Cobb, Younadam, and Rozeboom. Tia Halabi and Gemma Zeckser pick up the doubles win to close the meet out.   On Tuesday the team defeated CR Jefferson by a score of 7-2 and on Wednesday they defeated CR Prairie by a score of 9-0.

Congratulations to senior Avery Link on notching 100 wins in the Saints' victory over CR Washington this past Saturday!

Jazz Band:
Congratulations to Mr. Allard and the Xavier Jazz Bands on hosting an 'Xceptional Xavier Catholic Schools Jazz Festival earlier this week!
