GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Week-in-Review: January 10. 2020

CHOIR

Congratulations to Mr. Walker, Ms. Diebold, and the show choirs on putting on a fantastic preview at Xhibition on Friday last week!

Good luck to the show choir as they head to Des Moines Christain for their first competition on Saturday. 

BOYS BASKETBALL

• The Saints currently sit at 2-5 on the season. 

• The Saints will be back in action tomorrow night as they travel to Iowa City Liberty for their MVC matchup.  Tip-off is set for 7:30pm!

• Good luck to the Boys as they take on Charles City @ Coe College at 5:00pm on Saturday. 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

• Your Xavier Saints Girls Basketball Team is coming off of wins over Iowa City West 50-48 on Saturday and Dubuque Senior 65-40 on Tuesday!  

• Congratulations to Coach Lilly and the entire Girls team!

• The Saints are now 6-3, 6-1 in the MVC

• The Saints will be in action again tomorrow night as they host Iowa City Liberty on “Senior Night.”  Tip is scheduled for 7:30pm

BOYS & GIRLS BOWLING

• Congrats to Coach Camacho and our Saints Bowling Teams on their win over Dubuque senior last week!  

  • Boys 2705 DBQ SR. 2691, High Game: Jacob Tipton 228, and High Series: Erick Triplett 417

  • Xavier 2523 Dubuque Senior 2341, High Game: Olivia Nolte 235, High Series: Olivia Nolte 435

• Congrats to the boys bowling team on their 3,265-2,998 victory over Cedar Falls last night! The Saints scored a record high baker series and were led by Dale Weaver with the high series (472) and the high game (279).

BOYS SWIMMING

• Congratulations to the following swimmers on their top 3 finishes in the following events from their meet on Tuesday:

• CRW Swim results:

  •  Seth Williams: 1st in the 200 Yd Medley Relay, 3rd in the 100 yd Backstroke

  • Mitchel Talyat: 3rd in the 200 Yd Medley Relay, 2nd in the 200 Yd Freestyle Relay

  •   Brian Foerster: 3rd in the 100 Yd Breastroke

• CRK Results

  • Spencer Kramer: 1st in 200 yd Medley Relay, 3rd in 200 Yd IM, 1st in 200 Yd Freestyle Relay

• The Boys swimmers will be in action again on Saturday.  CRK @ DH and CRW is at West Des Moines Valley. 

WRESTLING

• The wrestlers will be traveling to Linn-Mar for the Linn-Mar Duals this Saturday starting at 9:00am.
