SPEECH
The Large Group Speech District was held on Saturday, January 25th. Congratulations to Speech Director Scott Davidson and the following groups who received a Division I Rating and will compete at the Large Group State Speech Contest on Saturday, February 8th at CR Washington:

JAZZ BAND
Jazz Band One performed at the State Jazz Band Festival on Monday, January 27th. Congratulations to Band Director Chad Allard and all members of Jazz Band One on earning a Division I Rating. This is the 10th straight year that the Jazz Band has earned a Division I Rating!
SHOW CHOIR
The Show Choir’s perform on Saturday, February 1st at the Sadie Street Showcase hosted by Anamosa High School. Xuberance “takes the stage” at 9:00 a.m. Xhilaration performs at 4:30 p.m. Good luck to Director Phil Schroetter and all members of the Show Choir program Saturday at Anamosa!
GIRLS WRESTLING
The Girls Wrestling team competed in an MVC Dual on January 23rd at Dubuque Senior. Congratulations to the following Saints who won their match:

The Girls Wrestling team competed in the MVC Tournament on January 25th at Iowa City Liberty. Congratulations to Hannah Pfab (140) and Aly Flack (145) who both placed 8th in the conference!
The Girls Wrestling team competes in a 1A Regional on Friday, January 31st at Solon High School. Good luck to Coach Reicks and all members of the team as the compete to qualify for state!
BOYS WRESTLING
The Boys Wrestling team beat Dubuque Senior in an MVC Dual on January 23rd by a score of 68 to 11. The Saints competed on January 25th at the Bean-Smith Dual Tournament hosted by Iowa City High. The Saints won the following matches:
52 to 14 over CR Kennedy
42 to 28 over 3A #20 CR Prairie
47 to 30 over Oskaloosa
43 to 35 over 2A #8 Mount Vernon
Congratulation to the following Saints who went 5-0 at the tournament:
Dan Melchior (175), Dusty Cook (190) & Jean Ngoma (215)
The team has a current record of 4-1 in the MVC and an overall record of 12-5.
UPDATE: The Boys Wrestling team has qualified for the 3A Regional Team Dual Tournament. The Saints go to Johnston High School on Tuesday, February 4th. The Saints take on Dallas Center-Grimes at 6:00 p.m. The winner of this match will wrestle host Johnston at 7:30 p.m. with the winner qualifying for State. Good luck to Coach Chambers and all members of the team “as the road” to state begins!
The Xavier Boys Wrestling team is hosting the MVC Tournament on Saturday, February 1st at Xavier. Meet time is 10:00 a.m. Good luck to Coach Chambers and all members of the Wrestling team on Saturday!
GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Girls Basketball team is ranked 10th in the IGHSAU 4A Poll. The Saints beat CR Washington on January 24th by a score of 73 to 62. The team beat Dubuque Senior on January 28th by a score of 69 to 24. The Saints have a current record of 10-2 in the MVC and an overall record of 13-4.
BOYS BASKETBALL
The Boys Basketball team is ranked 8th in this week’s IHSAA 3A Poll. The Saints beat CR Washington on January 24th by a score of 63 to 36. The team has a current record of 5-4 in the MVC and an overall record of 10-5.
BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER
The Girls and Boys Basketball teams play again on Friday, January 31st in an MVC doubleheader at CR Kennedy. The Girls game “tips-off” at 6:00 followed by the Boys game at 7:30 p.m.
BOYS SWIMMING
The MVC Boys Swimming All-Division Selections have been released. Congratulations to the following Saints:

BOWLING
The Bowling teams competed in an MVC Dual with CR Kennedy on January 23rd. Bradon Young led the Boys team with a high game of 213 and high series of 358. Aubrey Sires led the Girls team with a high game of 234 and high series of 397.
The Bowling teams compete in the MVC Divisional Meet on Thursday, January 30th at Colonial Lanes in Iowa City. Meet time is 10:00 a.m. Good luck to Coach Camacho and all members of the Bowling teams as they compete for conference honors!
