Girls Basketball
The #8 seed girls basketball team beat #4 seed Norwalk on Thursday, March 6th
in a 4A state semifinal game by a score of 70-60. The Saints advanced to the 4A state championship game and will compete against #2 seeded North Polk for the 4A state title.
The championship game takes place Saturday, March 8th at the Wells Fargo Arena
in Des Moines. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:30 PM. Good luck to Coach Lilly and the Saints as they compete for the state title!
Boys Basketball
The Boys Basketball team beat Dubuque Wahlert on February 27th in a 3A
Substate Semifinal by a score of 56 to 51. The Saints beat Decorah on March 3rd
in a Substate Final at Decorah by a score of 62 to 59 in an overtime thriller!
Congratulations to Coach Freeman and all members of the team on qualifying for
State! The #7 seed Saints play #2 seed Knoxville on Tuesday, March 11th in a 3A State
Quarterfinal at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Game time is 10:30 a.m.
Make plans now to support the team at State!

Indoor. Meet time is 1:00 p.m. Good luck to all members of the Track teams in

State Speech Contest scheduled for March 15th at North Scott High School.

Speech Districts:- Nikki Annett, Rae Moses, Maya Nguyen, Shaelynn Wade, Danika Klima,Hayley Morris, Joelle Rivera, Eden McDonald, & Anna Youngblut
Jazz Band One placed 3rd out of 20 bands at the Coe Jazz Summit. Jazz Band Two
placed 3rd out of 5 3A second bands. Jazz Band One performs on Saturday,
March 8th in the NEIBA District Jazz Festival at Independence High School. The
Saints play at 2:05 p.m. Jazz Band One performs on Monday, March 10th in the
Corridor Jazz Project at the Paramount Theatre. The Saints play at 8:20 p.m.

Robotics Team
The Xavier Robotics team competed in the Iowa Championships at Coralville on
February 28th & March 1st. The Xcentrics placed 1st in their division of 36 teams,
going 6-0 in the qualification matches. The Xcentrics won a Division Finalist
Award, 3rd place for the Control Award, & were selected as one of only six teams
in Iowa advancing to a FIRST Tech Challenge Premier Event. The Experimentals
finished in the middle of the pack in their division. Congratulations Xavier
Robotics!
Show Choir
The Xavier Show Choir Program is hosting Xtravaganza on Saturday, March 8th.
Performances are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. Good luck to all students and
volunteers in this major fundraiser for the Show Choir program!
The Xavier Show Choir Final Show is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12th in the
Regis-LaSalle Theatre beginning at 5:30 p.m. Good luck to Choir Director Phil
Schroetter and all members of Show Choir!
