GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Week-in-Review: March 9, 2023

Girls Basketball

Congratulations to Kyla Mason on earning Academic All-State honors from the Iowa Basketball coaches Association. Also congratulations to Kyla for earning 2nd Team All-State by the Iowa Print Writers Association and Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Congratulations to Libby Fandel for earning 1st Team All-State by the Iowa Print Writers Association and Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

Boys Basketball

Congratulations to Coach Freeman and the boys basketball team on their 49-38 quarterfinal win over Des Moines Hoover on Tuesday to advance to the semifinal round. The Saints will take on Bishop Heelen Thursday.

Robotics:

Xavier's Robotics team, the Xcentrics, wrapped up a successful season by competing at their State Competition in Coralville Saturday. While they did not advance to "Worlds," they had a successful day and finished in the top half of their league.

Congratulations to Xavier’s Drive team of Will Karl, Aaron Stadelmann, Kaeden Ginther, Rob Welch and Rayan El Alami as one of the top teams in the state. 

Bowling

Congratulations to the following bowlers who received All Conference honors:

Eli Koopman and Miranda Nolte earned 1st Team honors. Jacob Sires and Aubrey Sires earned 2nd Team honors. Matthew Simoneau, Marcus Camacho, Evelyn Howard, and Leah Ambrosy earned Honorable Mention honors. 

Jazz Band

Congratulations to Samuel Hoffmann who received an Honorable Mention for Outstanding Soloist at the NEIBA Jazz Festival over the weekend.
