GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Week-in-Review: May 25, 2023

Boys and Track

Congratulations to the boys Shuttle Hurdle relay team of Quinn Oleson, Will Hacke, Colton Beasler Weber and Grayson Hartman who captured the 3A State Championship title setting a new state record with a time of 59:49. Congratulations also to Grayson Hartman who is the State Champion in the 110 high hurdles. The boys team placed 8th overall!

Boys Soccer

Congratulations to the boys soccer team on their 3-2 overtime victory over Carlisle. The boys will head to state next week in Des Moines!

Girls Soccer

Good luck to Coach Johnson and the girls soccer team as they play Waverly-Shell Rock Thursday night at Independence with a chance to go to state on the line! 

Girls Golf

Good luck to Coach Kadlec and the girls golf team as they travel to Pheasant Ridge in Cedar Falls for the State Golf Meet on Thursday and Friday!

Boys Tennis

Congratulations to Ryan Schmit placing 5th place and Charlie LeGrand placing 2nd in Singles! Congratulations to Garrett Nurre and Jacob Schmit placing 5th in doubles!

Trap Shooting

Congratulations to our trap shooting team who placed 1st at the Cedar Falls Army Leather trapshooting competition on Saturday with a score of 484 and the team of 

Will Fagle, Rory Schroud, Preston Feurbach, Ty Lampe and Cain Allen.

Softball

Congratulations to Coach Gahring and the Xavier Softball team with their sweep of Iowa City Liberty on Tuesday night with scores of 5-3 and 4-2!

Baseball

Congratulations to Coach Halter and the #3 baseball team on their 6-3 victory over #2 Marion!

Congratulations also to the Xavier Baseball team on their 4-3 victory in their second game of the doubleheader against Cedar Falls!
