Football
Congratulations to Coach Schulte and the football team on a great season and making it to the 2nd round of the State playoffs.

Congratulations to the exceptional Xavier athletes who have earned well-deserved recognition in the 2023 Iowa Class 4A District 3 Football season! Our 1st team all-district players, including Ronan Thomas, Noah Schimberg, Adam Cook, Jason Stevenson, Jace Borcherding, Grant Helmle, Eddie Becu, and Coleton Beasler-Weber.

Special accolades to Adam Cook for his title as Defensive District Player of the Year, Eddie Becu as Defensive Lineman District Player of the Year, and Coleton Beasler-Weber as Specialist District Player of the Year.

Congratulations to our 2nd team all-district players, Jack Stevenson, Carter Hoffmann, Bryce Kramer, Quinn Oleson, Aidan Kinner, Mac Woltman, and Lucas Frost.

The academic achievements of our student-athletes are equally commendable, with numerous Xavier players earning a spot on the Class 4A District Football All-Academic Team, including Aidan Kinner, Dane Melchior, Colin Stoltenberg, Noah Jordebrek, Brady Kruse, Johnathan Pithan, Charlie Bostwick, Noah Schimberg, Logan Cox, Gunnar Black, Ethan Dempewolf, Kaden Hotchkiss, Grant Helmle, Jack Downey, Adam Cook, Gavin Miller, Jace Borcherding, Joe Semelroth, Ronan Thomas, Cohen Honkomp, Jack Stevenson, Hudson Courter, Riley Klein, JJ Negrin, Grayson Smith, Brandon Smith, Bryce Kramer, and Quinn Oleson.

In addition, a shoutout to the outstanding individuals on the Class 4A District Football All-Academic Team Cheerleading: Claire Kettmann, Maria LeGrand, Addie Bisinger, Alaina Fillenworth, Aubrey Sires, Leah Ambrosy, Grace Richmond, and Lauren Miller.

Congratulations to Ronan Thomas who has been awarded the Metro Football Athlete of the Year.

The following students were named First Team All-Metro: Ronan Thomas, Noah Schimberg, and Jace Borcherding on offensive, and Adam Cook and Jack Stevenson on defensive.

The following students were named second-team All-Metro: Grant Helmle, Coleton Beasler-Weber, Eddie Becu, Jason Stevenson, and Carter Hoffmann.

Xavier’s Metro Honorable Mention team includes Bryce Kramer, Quinn Oleson, Aidan Kinner, Mac Woltman, and Lucas Frost.

Girls Swimming
Congratulations to Lilly Anctil for qualifying for state swimming in the 200-yard medley, 50-yard freestyle, 100-butterfly, and 200-yard freestyle relay. Congratulations to Sarah Foerster for qualifying for state in the 400-yard freestyle. Congratulations to Maria Trotta for qualifying for state in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle relay, and the 400-yard freestyle relay!

MVC Swimming and Diving Teams are as follows: Kate Deegan received a Diving Honorable Mention, Lilly Anctil and Maria Trotta earned 2nd Team in the 200 Free Relay, and individual recognitions for 2nd Team in the 50 Free for Anctil and 1st Team for Trotta.

Boys Golf
Congratulations to the Xavier Golfer who were awarded All-Metro Selections. Garrett Nurre was selected 1st Team All-Metro. Grant Allen and Jacob Schmit were selected 2nd Team All-Metro. Wyatt Herting and Pranay Monga were selected Honorable Mention and Coach of the Year was Xavier’s Brandon Schiltz.

Congratulations to the Xavier Golfers who were named All-Division. Garrett Nurre, Logan Otting, Quincey Johnson, and Grant Allen were named 1st team. Jacob Schmit and Pranay Monga were selected as Honorable Mention.

Congratulations to Garret Nurre as he was selected 2nd Team Clas 4A All-State by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association.

Volleyball
Congratulations to the Xavier Volleyball players who were named to the 2023 All-Metro Volleyball Teams. Libby Fandel and Molly Garrison were named 1st Team. Ava Turner was named 2nd team All-Metro. Carley Jonker and Carissa Timmerman were named honorable mention.

Congratulations to Libby Fandel who was named Athlete of the Year and Coach Weiland and her staff who were named coaching staff of the year.

Congratulations to the Xavier Volleyball players who were named to the 2023 MVC All-Division Team. Libby Fandel was named 1st Team. Molly Garrison, Ava Turner, and Carley Jonker were named 2nd team All-Metro. Carissa Timmerman and Taylor Rexroth were named honorable mention.

Cross Country
Congratulations to Marcus Camacho, Kaleb Wilgenbusch, Sofia Musick, and Cayleigh O’Brien for being named Honorable Mention All-Metro Cross Country.
