Boys Basketball:
The boys defeated Benton Community on Monday 62-28 in the first round of postseason play. They now take on Central DeWitt, at DeWitt, tonight in the second round. Varsity tip is set for 7:00 pm.
The sub-state final will be on Monday the 28th at 7:00 pm.
Bowling:
Junior boys bowler, Jacob Sires, competed in the Class 2A Individual State Bowling Championships yesterday at Maple Lanes in Waterloo. Jacob finished with a three-game series of 174-209-185 for a 569 total. Jacob finished 23rd overall.
The MVC All-Division teams were released yesterday. Congratulations to our Saints who made these teams.

BPA:
February 20 -22 twenty-eight Xavier students competed at the State BPA (Business Professionals of America) Leadership Conference in Des Moines.
Those 28 sophomores, junior, and senior students competed in a total of 86 events. Xavier students finished in the top 10 for 59 of those 86 events. Eighteen of our 28 students qualified to compete in up to 35 different events at the national level in Dallas, Texas this coming May.

Girls Basketball:
The Girls basketball team earned a trip to the 4A State Tournament at Wells Fargo in Des Moines. They defeated Marion 59-52 on Saturday and Keokuk 58-36 on Tuesday to punch their ticket to state. They will play on Tuesday, March 10th.

Band:
Ms. Swehla and the jazz band received 1st place 2 days in a row this past week. They placed 1st at the Tallcorn Festival on Thursday and again on Friday at the Liberty Jazz Festival.
Both Jazz Band One and Jazz Band two will be at the Coe College Jazz Summit tomorrow.
Dance:
The team headed down to Nationals in Orlando, Florida. They placed 8th in Pom and 8th in Hip Hop in their class. Great work by these Saints!
Robotics:
The Robotics competed at the state meet this past weekend. The team won the Control Award, which is awarded to the team with the best-written code that uses many different aspects to control the robot to perform tasks. Another great performance by these Saints!
Show Choir:
Both Xhil and Xub will compete at the Marion “Masquerade” this weekend at Marion High School to close out their competition season. The Xavier Final Show will be held on Thursday, March 10th in the theater.
Xavier’s Xtravaganza is scheduled for Saturday, March 5th.
Speech:
The Individual District Speech contest will be this weekend.
Wrestling:
Xavier Senior Christian Stanek placed 3rd at 160lbs in class 3A. He finished his career as a 4-time individual state qualifier, and the first Xavier wrestler in program history to be a 4-time place winner!
