GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Weekly Highlights: November 18, 2021

All State Music
The All-State Festival at Iowa State University is today, Friday, and Saturday. Congratulations again to our Saints that made this prestigious group and good luck. Those Saints are Braedon Roling, Greta Schaub, Jacob Sires, Isabella Anderson, Faith Karl, and Timothy Lesnik.
Drama Production
Congratulations to all of our students and directors that participated in the musical “Newsies” this past weekend. It was a fantastic performance. Over 60 Saints were on stage with many more helping behind the scenes.
Football:
The 4A #2 ranked Saints (11-1) defeated Winterset last week 40-14 in the Semi-Finals of the 4A playoffs. Tonight, the Saints will take on Lewis Central in the UNI Dome for the class 4A State Championship. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm. You can purchase tickets online or at the gate.
Volleyball:
Congratulations to our three Saints that made the IGCA Academic All-State Team: Maya Karl, Ava Hunt, and Riley Jonker.
Congratulations to our IGCA All-State selections:
1st Team: Maya Karl
2nd Team: Riley Jonker
These two were also named to the 4A Northeast All-District Team.
Dance
The Xavier Dance team had a great weekend this past weekend. They finished 1st place in Pom and 1st in Hip Hop at the Stack the Stands competition held at Prairie on Saturday. For solos, Sara Gundacker finished 2nd, Alyssa Ramler 3rd, Reegan Flugge 4th, and Meagan Reininga 9th.
Swimming and Diving
Congratulations to all of our swimmers and divers who made the All-Metro swimming and diving team.
