GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Weekly Highlights: November 3, 2022

Swimming:

Good luck to all the girls competing on Saturday at the Regional Swim Meet.  CR Jefferson will be at Clinton and CR Kennedy and CR Washington will be at Linn Mar. Meets begin at 12:00 PM.

Volleyball

Congratulations to Coach Filer and the volleyball team on their wins over Bishop Heelan, Western Dubuque, and Clear Creek Amana to clinch the 2022 4A State volleyball title! This is Xavier’s 45th state title! Also congratulations to Libby Fandel and Maci Kadlec for being named to the all-tournament team.  

Football:

Congratulations to Coach Schulte and the football team on their 44-7 first-round 4A playoff victory over CR Washington on Friday. The Saints will play on Friday taking on Indianola at Saints field at 7:00 PM

Choir/Band

Congratulations to the following band members who were selected for the NEIBA District Honor Band!  The honor band will be held at Oelwein High School on Saturday, December 3rd. Band members who were selected were Lauren Saito--Oboe, James Le--Clarinet, Alicia Mutasingwa--Clarinet, Meredith Beer--Alto Sax, Mia Deegan--Trumpet, Sam Hoffmann--Trombone, Benjamin Allard--Trombone, Alex Conrad--Tuba, Davis Robe--Tuba, and Gus Bates--Percussion.
