GO SAINTS! XHS Activities Weekly Highlights: Oct. 8, 2020

Boys & Girls Cross Country:
The cross country teams competed well at West Delaware on Tuesday. Both teams had numerous All-Time bests or season best performances.
They will compete again on Saturday at Linn-Mar and then follow up with their Divisional meet on Thursday next week at Dubuque Sr.
Boys Golf:
Congratulations to our Boys’ Golf team. They finished runner up with a 306 and qualified for the state golf tournament this Friday and Saturday at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Charlie Allen was a medalist and finished 4th overall. He was followed up by both Ryan and Matthew Schmit who finished 5th overall respectively.
The State meet will start tomorrow and conclude on Saturday.
Swimming:
Great work out of our ladies in the pool on Tuesday in the CRK vs CRW dual.
- Casey Gannon - 1st in 200 Yd Medley Relay, 1st in 100 Yd Butterfly, 1st in 100 Yd Breaststroke, 2nd in 200 Yd Freestyle Relay
- Anne Baumann - 1st in 200 Yd Medley Relay, 1st in the 500 Yd Freestyle, 3rd in 100 Yd Backstroke, 1st in 400 Yd Freestyle Relay
- Lucy Pfab- 2nd in 200 Yd Medley Relay, 3rd in 400 Yd Freestyle Relay
- Maria Trotta - 1st in 200 Yd Freestyle Relay, 1st in 200 Yd Freestyle, 1st in 100 Yd Freestyle, 1st in 400 Yd Freestyle Relay
- Meera Julka- 2nd in 200 Yd IM, 2nd in 100 Yd Butterfly, 2nd in 200 Yd Freestyle Relay, 2nd in 400 Yd Freestyle Relay
- Ellanor Morrissey - 3rd in 200 Yd Freestyle Relay
Volleyball
The top ranked Saints defeated Dubuque Hempstead 3-2 in a marathon match. The Saints finished the Valley division undefeated and as the valley divisional champions. They travel to Ankeny Saturday to take on Dowling and Ankeny Centennial in a non conference triangular.
Next week the Saints will also play in the MVC quad on Tuesday to replace the traditional MVC tournament.
Football:
The top ranked Saints defeated Grinnell 44-20 last Friday. They move to 6-0 on the year and 4-0 in the district. The team has also claimed the District 6 title. They host Bentonl tomorrow with Varsity starting at 7:30pm.
Next week the Saints will start the postseason. Specific game information will come out on Saturday.
