We would like to send a big "THANK YOU" to Xavier Boys Golf head coach, Tim O'Brien, who is officially retiring from his coaching position after serving at the helm for the Saints for the past 16 seasons. Over those seasons, Coach O'Brien's teams amassed a winning percentage of over 65 percent with eight appearances as a team at the state boys golf tournament (2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022). Coach O'Brien was named Mississippi Valley Conference's Division "Coach of the Year" four times (2011, 2012, 2013, and 2022) and Metro "Coach of the Year" three times (2012, 2015, and 2022). Coach O'Brien also previously served on the Xavier faculty as a business teacher, a position he retired from in 2020. Coach could often be found supporting Saints in their various activities and it wasn't uncommon for him to make an appearance to take the Xavier student section on the always-popular "O'Brien Xpress" roller coaster.
Thank you, Coach O'Brien, for your 16 years of dedicated service to Xavier and our Saints. Please help us wish him all the best as he embarks on his new adventure: Retirement. Coach will forever be a Saint!
