As we continue to make our Return to Learn plans, we are monitoring guidance we are receiving from the Center for Disease Control, Governor Reynolds, Iowa Department of Public Health and Linn County Health Department. This guidance will be factored into all decisions made about access to facilities and implications on programming.
The current expectation is that students will be in school as we begin the 2020-2021 school year.
Xavier Catholic School administrators have worked collaboratively to develop the chart below (
PDF version found here), which will help serve as a guide to explain how things will look based on our current operating status. Once we officially know what our operating status will be, that will be communicated to our families.
Remember: As the situation is fluid and rapidly changing, we may transition from one status to another throughout the year as necessary. Also, information in the chart is subject to change based on conditions/further guidance.
Keeping Everyone Safe!
Regardless of what our operating status is, the safety of our students, teachers, staff and our Xavier Catholic School families is paramount. There may be instances where our schools will implement
additional health and safety precautions beyond
statewide guidance based on conditions/guidance at a more local (or even school-to-school) level. Those decisions will be made in close collaboration with Linn County Public Health.
