SPECIAL UPDATE: EARLY DISMISSAL

As you have likely seen, many of the area metro schools are operating under an early dismissal schedule in an effort to get students and families home safely.  

Our past practice has been to follow the Cedar Rapids Community School District weather announcements; however, in an effort to give you time to plan, Xavier Catholic Schools is going to deviate from this normal practice and has made the decision to also have an early dismissal for our schools.  Your safety is our top priority and together, we feel that this plan allows for the safeguard of our community.

Please reference the times below for the Xavier Catholic Schools early dismissal plan today, Thursday March 9th.  Any questions can be directed to the appropriate school.  Thanks for your understanding.

At this point in time, we are strongly discouraging students from driving to Des Moines as the incoming weather has prompted an early dismissal out of concern for their safety and the safety of others on the road. As a reminder, today's state semifinal game is live streamed for free via the IHSSN Network. Viewers will have to set up an IHSSN account (or log in to an existing account) to watch the game.
