Xavier High School is seeking passionate and dedicated interns to assist with our Strength & Speed Camp for high school students. This internship provides hands-on experience in coaching, program implementation, and athlete development in a structured training environment. Interns will work closely with the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and gain practical knowledge in speed training, strength development, and injury prevention.
Assist with warm-ups, cooldowns, and mobility drills.
Assist in coaching speed, agility, and plyometric drills during training sessions.
Help supervise barbell, dumbbell, and bodyweight training at platform and rack stations.
Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide coaching cues to athletes.
Monitor athlete safety and progress, ensuring proper form and effort.
Set up and break down equipment before and after sessions.
Provide positive reinforcement and encourage athlete development.
Collaborate with the strength coach to adjust workouts based on athlete needs.
Current college student or recent graduate in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, or a related field.
Passion for athlete development and strength & conditioning.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to demonstrate and instruct proper exercise techniques
Prior experience in strength training, coaching, or athletics is preferred but not required.
Gain hands-on coaching experience with high school athletes.
Learn progressive training methods for speed, agility, and strength.
Develop skills in program implementation and athlete assessment.
Earn valuable mentorship from an experienced strength coach
Potential for future coaching opportunities and networking.
