Welcome, Mr. Svare!

We are excited to announce the hire of our new associate principal, Matt Svare! Mr. Svare joins the Xavier High School administrative team after serving as the associate principal at Regis Middle School in our Xavier Catholic School family for the past two years. Prior to his time at Regis, Mr. Svare served as a teacher in the College Community and Benton Community school districts where he taught science and social studies. Throughout his experience, he has established a successful track record in the areas of organization and developing positive relationships with students.

Mr. Svare will replace outgoing associate principal, Gerry Miller, who accepted an administrative position closer to home in western Iowa.

As Xavier's associate principal, Mr. Svare will oversee the daily operations of the school by supporting exceptional academic and activities programs, assisting with student management systems, and guiding students toward behavior which reflects Catholic values. He will also be a key member of our Return to Learn leadership team for the 2020-2021 school year. We look forward to seeing his positive impact on our students and our school! Please help us in welcoming Mr. Svare along with his wife/XHS alumna, Katlyn (Andersen) (X12), and their son, Hudson, to Xavier High School!
