In an effort to align Xavier's booster club to the top performing booster clubs in the state of Iowa, the Xavier Booster Club (XBC) has revised their requests for memberships and sponsorships for the 2020-2021 school year. To learn more about these revisions and their incentives, read the FAQs below.
Q- Who can participate in Booster Club?
A- All Xavier Community Members and families from Elementary, Middle School and High School Parents, Alumni, Grandparents and Friends are invited to participate in supporting the future of Xavier Activities, Athletics and Fine Arts.
Q- What are the major changes to the sponsorship for both families and members?
Varied levels allow both families and businesses to sponsor all at once in the same location.The varied levels allow businesses an easy and efficient way to contribute.
The varied sponsorships now come with leveled incentives. The Silver Booster and Supreme allow sponsors to choose to direct 50% of their sponsorship dollars towards a XBC activity.
Recognition includes: listing in event programs, receipt of XBC decal/sticker, Booster Bucks and Booster BashSilver Booster & Supreme levels the opportunity to direct 50% of sponsorship dollars toward activity or sport of donor’s choice
Example - if a Silver Booster gives $1,000 they may designate $500 of those dollars to any of the 40+ Xavier activities
Example - if a Silver Supreme donor gives $2,000 they may designate $1,000 of those dollars to any of the 40+ Xavier activities
Q- Why are the memberships now called sponsorships?
A- In reviewing other Booster Clubs and reflecting on the difference between a member and a sponsor, the word sponsor is more reflective of what the organization is about. Sponsorship defined is:
Sponsoring something (or someone) is the act of supporting an event, activity, person, or organization financially or through the provision of products or services. The individual or group that provides the support, similar to a benefactor, is known as a sponsor.
Q- What are Booster Bucks?
A- Booster Bucks can be redeemed at the concession stand at any home Xavier activity. The balance left on Booster Bucks will be recorded as they are used. There is no cash value for the Booster Bucks.
Q- What are Activity Punch Cards?
A- Activity punch cards can be used at all home games Activity punch cards are excluded from tournaments and district/regional events.
Q- What is the Booster Bash?
A- The Booster Bash is an annual event that is held in August and is a celebration of membership complete with free food and drink. The Booster Bash brings new and old members together to visit and grow as a community. This year’s Booster Bash has been postponed due to COVID.
Q- What is the XBC sticker?
A-The XBC sticker is similar to the Xavier Saints “X Stickers” that are given out for application to cars, etc. The newly designed sticker will be provided in the membership packets mailed to each household upon completion of membership.
Q- What happens if activities are cancelled due to COVID?
A-Sponsorships/contributions are nonrefundable and subject to changes without notice. Due to Covid 19, Xavier expects to have last minute changes to events, some limited attendance at events, possible cancellation of events, and with little or no advance notice based on guidance and recommendations of the CDC, State of Iowa, and the Archdiocese of Dubuque.
