As speaker and best-selling author Steve Maraboli once said, “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.” A wound the Xavier High School girls’ and boys’ soccer teams had to go through was missing out on their seasons last year, but the compassion that helped heal this wound was the generosity of the Xavier Booster Club (XBC). Their generosity included donating portable goals to both programs in the 2019-2020 season, amongst additional soccer gear like a soccer bag and new soccer balls.

“Getting to finish my senior season [in soccer] is extremely meaningful to me because last year many of my teammates lost their final competition season,” senior soccer player Carter Diebold said. The Xavier Booster Club ensured that the 2020-2021 school year did not end like the previous year with the absence of sports, activities, and the fine arts due to lack of resources for Covid 19 safety precautions. The funding of the Xavier Booster Club this year has focused on ppe for 2020-2021 athletics, activities and the performing arts.
