Nathan Hagarty (X19): Won the "Governor's Award" for his drawing titled "Bee Happy," which will be displayed in the Governor's Office at the Capital building during the month of March. "Bee Happy" also received honorable mention from Scholastic. Another of Nathan's drawings, titled "Smog," won a "Gold Key Award" from Scholastic which qualifies his work to be judged in a national competition in New York. Elizabeth Swiderski (X20): Won a "Sargent Award" for her work titled "Emotional Overload." This piece will be displayed in a place of honor among the Youth Art Month art show in the State Historical Building in Des Moines during the month of March. The same drawing also received a "Silver Key Award" from Scholastic. Danielle Oberfoell (X20): Won a "Gold Key Award" from Scholastic which qualifies her work to be judged in a national competition in New York for her drawing, "California Crisis: A Dedication". The following students won entry into the Youth Art Month Art Show.
